Buzzbot, Inc. Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 20, 2026 | Last Updated: September 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Buzzbot, Inc. (“Buzzbot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the BuzzBot platform, websites, and related services (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account, joining a Hive, accessing a community experience, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1. Acceptance of Terms

You accept these Terms by using the Services in any way. You represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are a minor using the Services under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who has accepted these Terms on your behalf. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

BuzzBot is designed primarily for parents, guardians, and other authorized adult users. Accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or guardian.

2. Description of BuzzBot

BuzzBot helps families find and understand information shared across their school and community. The Services bring communications — such as announcements, newsletters, events, reminders, forms, and links — into one searchable experience, organized in part through community spaces called Hives.

BuzzBot is an independent service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, BuzzBot is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any school, school district, or community organization. BuzzBot does not replace a school’s official communication systems or records.

Some features use artificial intelligence to organize, summarize, and retrieve information. Automated systems can make mistakes; you should confirm important dates, deadlines, and requirements with the original source.

3. User Accounts and Access

3.1 Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.2 Community Codes, Hive Codes, and Invitations

Some communities and Hives are accessible only with a valid code, invitation, or approved-family status. You agree to keep access codes and invitation links private and not to share them with anyone who is not authorized to join the associated community or Hive. We may revoke codes, invitations, or access that we reasonably believe has been shared or used improperly.

3.3 Hive Roles

Hive owners and administrators may manage membership, invite members, and publish content within their Hive. They must follow these Terms and may not use Hive management tools to send content or access to people who are not authorized members of that Hive.

3.4 Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time.

4. User-Submitted Content

The Services allow users — including Hive owners, administrators, and approved contributors — to submit or share content such as updates, files, photos, links, and other materials (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Buzzbot a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute it solely as needed to operate, secure, and provide the Services in accordance with your settings and the access rules of the relevant community or Hive.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights to share it and that sharing it does not violate any law or any third party’s rights, including privacy and confidentiality rights. You should not submit sensitive student records — such as grades, disciplinary or medical records, Social Security numbers, or financial information — through the Services.

We may review, moderate, remove, or refuse to display User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law. Removal of User Content from within a Hive does not automatically remove messages already delivered to members.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person, or share hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content;
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with a school, district, Hive, or community;
  • Share, scrape, or harvest content or personal information from the Services other than content you are authorized to access;
  • Attempt to access private Hives, communities, or administrative features without proper authorization, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including through automated traffic, denial-of-service activity, or circumventing rate limits or access controls;
  • Use the Services to send spam, chain letters, or unsolicited bulk communications; or
  • Use the Services to advertise or sell products or services without our prior written permission.

6. Third-Party Links and Information

The Services organize and display information that originates from schools, districts, parent organizations, community organizations, contributors, websites, and other third-party sources, and may include links to third-party sites and services.

We do not control, endorse, or guarantee third-party content, links, or destinations, and we are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. When you follow a link to a third-party site, the third party’s terms and privacy policy apply, not these Terms.

7. Accuracy and Availability of Community Information

Community information surfaced through BuzzBot is drawn from third-party communications and user submissions. It may be incomplete, out of date, incorrectly extracted or summarized, or changed by its original source without notice. BuzzBot does not verify the accuracy of community information and is not responsible for decisions you make based on it.

Always confirm important dates, deadlines, requirements, and other critical information with the original source or your school.

We aim to keep the Services available and reliable, but the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, interrupt, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the BuzzBot name, logo, software, design, text, graphics, and other branding and materials, are owned by Buzzbot, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights in the Services are transferred to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Services, or use BuzzBot’s branding, without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

If you believe content available through the Services infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us using the information below so we can review and, when appropriate, remove it.

9. SMS / Text Messaging

BuzzBot may use SMS text messages for transactional phone-number verification and authentication. Verification messages are sent only when you voluntarily provide your mobile number and request a verification code, or when a code is needed to confirm your number as part of using a feature you have chosen to use.

  • Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
  • Verification messages are transactional. They do not enroll you in recurring marketing or promotional SMS messages.
  • Consent to receive verification messages is not a condition of purchasing anything.
  • You can reply STOP to any verification message to opt out of further SMS messages from us. Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers collected for verification with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buzzbot, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buzzbot’s total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Changes to the Service

We are always working to improve BuzzBot. We may add, change, suspend, or remove any feature or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. If a change materially reduces the core functionality available to you, we will try to let you know in advance where practical.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and may provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
